want!
Happy Birthday (yet again)
Bro! You can be the proud owner of any one of the domains above, if you'd like, as a
gift from me!
" But
wait! There's more!!! "
Years ago, when they first went public with the " .us " domain (all the
good .com's were taken), I bought you this one, as a possible site for
your future business(es):
www.cycleshop.us
I just never got
around to giving it to you. (I actually got a cool one for Holly [www.polisci.us] as well, but
haven't given it to her yet either, so shhh, don't tell her!). I
wanted to get you www.roadkill.us
(.com, .net, .org, and .biz were already taken), but roadkill seems to
be a very popular name, so the best I could do was the hyphenated:
www.road-kill.us
More recently I saw:
www.choppershop.biz
in a domain
auction, and couldn't resist getting it for you, as well! So,
they're all yours, for websites, email, or putting your photos online,
whatever!
Now if you have no use for these
in your future, you're welcome to sell them, if you like, or rent them
by the month to other companies for a small but constant source of
income, or do what I'm trying to do with my bunch of FSU and
Gator-related domains: selling email addresses from them, for example,
bill@choppershop.biz, which hopefully the right
motorcycle shop employee might want to pay something like $12.95 a year
for! Each domain can also have subdomains, like
www.seattle.cycleshop.us
which can be used for email
addresses or separate websites as well!
As I 'm no longer with Channel 27, I'm in Tallahassee trying hard to
get my email business off the ground. It's called NoleMail.Net,
and I am going to charge people $12.95 a year for sparky@fsuseminole.com, bill@floridastategrad.com, tom@floridastateseminole.net, jim@gofsu.com, and
joeblow@theseminolesrock.com, to name a few! My version for
the Gators will be called FloridaGatorMail.com.
I applied for my "fictitious name registration" with the State of
Florida ($50.00, ouch, but necessary), and will be getting my City of
Tallahassee and Leon County business licenses next week. If YOU
would like to get in on this "action" (and I'm certainly excited about it!), I
have
www.weloveseattle.com
and
www.iloveseattle.us
for you!!!
You could do all the guerrilla marketing (which for me here will be
mostly putting up flyers on FSU bulletin boards and on cars, and having
a booth in the Wednesday
FSU
Student Union flea market), and you would get all the profit. I
would have the email addresses run through my servers, so you wouldn't
have to worry about that. I imagine there are lots of people who
would love a personalized Seattle or Vancouver-related email
address. We could get ILOVEVANCOUVER.ORG and I-LOVE-SEATTLE.COM, or anything else you'd
suggest. Anyway, think it over and see if this idea has any
possibilities, in your opinion! Of course, you could always
choose to do something with these in the future, instead of now.
So, let me know!
Oh, by the way, the domains come with a 25 MB email account of your
choice (with Webmail) and 100 email forwarding addresses, which are
super easy to set up. (You could give each of the Iceholes their
own email address @icehole.org,
for example!) So, let me know what domain name(s) you'd like to
use, and I'll buy it and set it up for you!
Just to clarify, "Luke, you are
the master" of the following:
CHOPPERSHOP.BIZ
CYCLESHOP.US
ROAD-KILL.US
ROADKILLSPARKY.COM
RRROADKILL.COM
as
well as
ILOVESEATTLE.US
WELOVESEATTLE.COM
but I'd like to get you the one that you'd really think was cool, so please do
a search at GoDaddy.com and let me know! I hope you get
some enjoyment and/or profit out of these domains!
I
hope very much that things are going OK for you these days, Bill, and
that you had a fun birthday! Take care of yourself, please, and
let me
know which domain you'd like.
I love you Bill! Happy Birthday
again! Take care! --Tom
